ALAN CHOWN

 

I was born in Northamptonshire but now live in Milton Keynes not far from the concrete cows. I am a self taught artist and have no formal training other than a few local ACE courses, taken after my early retirement, to refresh much neglected pen and ink techniques. In 2005 I was persuaded to enter the world of watercolour and have been hooked ever since using the technique to produce watercolour paintings, enhance basic pen drawings and mixed media effects.

 

A visit to Venice has inspired a lot of work but trees, boats and buildings of any description also have my undivided attention together with British and European landscapes.
